Dream Catcher

A poem

I'm just a Dreamer
with these wild visions
a bit of a seer
that might make divisions. 

Sometimes I cant contain 
what's inside of me. 
I have to fight this pain
by speaking what I see. 

Don't get it mistaken. 
I'm a Daughter
who's never forsaken. 
Fragile--but won't shatter.

I'm a Believer. 
Dream Catcher, 
Soul Winner. 

I take these visions
and bring them higher,
to the source of provisions.
No, I'm not a liar. 

Just a Dreamer
reaching for the stars.
A bit of a feeler
who gives God my scars.

Soaring across the sky
I hold the Almighty's hand
and teach others to fly
until its our time to land. 

I'm a Believer. 
Dream Catcher, 
Soul Winner. 

I know what I'm worth
so if you don't--sit back
and my Father will bring forth
His glory, where I never lack. 

Just a flame created by a spark,
a beacon of light.
No, I'm not afraid of the dark.
I have this vision in sight--

And do what it takes
to save and lead.
I know that the stakes
are high-but I have Who I need. 

I'm a Believer. 
Dream Catcher, 
Soul Winner. 

I'm a truth speaking Dreamer.
Who's Devoted to my Father
and I will reach Higher.
Until I meet my Redeemer--
for always and forever.

Personal Thoughts:

I’ve been keeping this poem since November, but felt really led to share it with you all this week. I added some extra stanzas that were a nice touch and feel just as thrilled and excited as I was when I initially wrote this! I could talk a lot about what this poem means all day, really.

But in short, I’ll always be a Believer in my Lord Jesus Christ and my relationship with Him matters to me more than anything and anyone. Second, I’m catching my dreams with Him so that I can make a big impact and win souls for His kingdom. That’s why I do what I do and why I write what I write.

Through thick and thin, failures and successes, I’m determined to fulfill my mission as a Believer, Dream catcher, soul winner!
